We'll add info here as questions come up. Ask away, and check back for more if needed!
Q: When Should I RSVP by?
A: Please submit your RSVP by Dec 1st.
Q: When should we arrive at the Basilica?
A: Doors open at 2. We suggest aiming to arrive shortly after that to give yourself time to get settled and in from the cold!
Q: How long will your ceremony be?
A: Roughly 45 minutes. Since Robert is Catholic and would like to take communion at our ceremony, we have opted to include Mass. This means that if you are a Catholic and have completed your communion, you will also be offered communion at the end of Mass. If you are not Catholic, you have the option to receive a blessing or remain seated. Confused? Don't worry. Father Duffey will explain during Mass!
Q: What should we do in the gap between your ceremony and cocktail hour?
A: OH I am so glad you asked (nobody asked, I'm including this because I can). After our ceremony ends, we're planning to linger at the basilica for about half an hour for some photos, both with family and just for Robert and I (since we will not be doing a first look). During this time, we've hired a second photographer to help by taking portraits of you and yours if you wish! BONUS... our ceremony musicians (Michael Bloss and Noel Edison's Choir) will be providing some seasonal music during those photos. We invite you to get some pictures and enjoy the music while we do the same. Of course, if you'd like to go check in at the hotel, do a quick outfit change, or (like my parents) you want to swing home to let out the dog, you can! The cocktails and snacks will be waiting for you at 4:30. If you arrive early, not to worry! You can hang out at Cutten, too.
Q: Is Hudson Attending?
A: Please don't hate us! No. The little guy will be comfortable at home with a very capable dog sitter. He has no idea we aren't already married anyway.
