Basilica Our Lady Immaculate
28 Norfolk St, Guelph, ON
Completed in 1888 and a mastery of Gothic architecture in the heart of Guelph, Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate is Robert’s home church. It is both where he completed his confirmation with (now retired) Father Noon and his current place of worship.
Though Rachael is not catholic herself, her university studies in art history took a particular interest in Gothic Architecture, and more specifically, Roman Catholic churches. Her respect for the art and beauty of Catholic tradition makes her more than happy to be married in such a meaningful place that is a testament to faith and community.
As a couple, we are honoured to exchange our vows in a space so special, and extend our heartfelt thanks to Father Ian Duffey for his exceptional kindness and guidance through our journey from engaged to married, and beyond.
Cutten Fields
190 College Ave E, Guelph, ON
Cutten Fields has been a cherished part of Guelph since 1931. Known for its rich history and reputation as a hub for exceptional dining and social gatherings, this venue holds a special place in our hearts.
Rachael has recently become a member at Cutten. Getting married here celebrates her love of golf as well as many past and future outings playing on this course. For Robert, Cutten is also a nod to family traditions, honouring his grandfather Mitchell Borr's many years of membership at the club.
From the back lawn, Cutten Fields offers an impressive view of Guelph's cityscape, including the stunning Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, where our ceremony will take place. We couldn't imagine a more meaningful place to begin our journey together, and we’re thrilled to share this beautiful setting (and food) with all of you.
Ample parking is available at both locations if you choose to drive. For more details on coming and going from our venues, click the button below!
